Ford has released a statement saying it is in “ongoing discussions” with the owner of the Ford truck the parts fall dude truck, but “the company has not yet determined if it will move forward with its contract.”
“We have been working to resolve this matter and, as the contract states, we have no current plans to proceed with this contract,” the company said.
The fall guy is a popular pickup truck with buyers of Ford’s Fusion Hybrid, Fusion Energi and F-150 pickups.
Ford said it was considering whether to offer the truck to other owners, but the company’s decision on the matter is “in the hands of the owner and the dealership.”
“The fall guy was a top seller in our network, and it’s unfortunate that it has been lost,” Ford said in the statement.
“We understand that it’s frustrating to lose an iconic piece of Ford history.
Ford will continue to work with its customer and dealer partners to make this right for our customers and customers’ families.”
Ford said the fall guy pickup was sold in January 2018 and the truck was on its way to a Ford dealership when the incident occurred.
