When Mercedes Benz wants to sell a car, it’s all about getting the right people in the right place.
And with its new jeep, the German automaker is trying to take advantage of this trend.
Mercedes Benz Australia announced today it is to launch a new brand with a unique vehicle that will be available in Australia from the beginning of 2019.
The new Mercedes Benz truck will be sold exclusively by the company in the Australian market from the first of April 2019.
Mercedes’ move to bring its trucks into the Australian marketplace is part of the company’s plan to become more accessible and affordable for Australian consumers.
“The Australian market is the perfect place for Mercedes-Benz to take the brand on,” Mercedes-Honda Australia marketing director and vice-president of sales, Peter Latham, said in a statement.
“As we enter the next decade, we are taking the brand forward with new products and the right customers in mind.”
While the truck will not be sold directly to consumers, Mercedes-CAB will be able to deliver it to them through an exclusive Mercedes-branded delivery service that will allow customers to have it delivered to their home in the shortest time possible.
The jeep will be offered with a variety of models from the A20 and A20 Plus, but also the A4 and A5.
The A20 will be the most expensive model, while the A8 will be a slightly lower-priced alternative for the A18 and A18 Plus models.
The Mercedes-Ampoulet truck, which will be produced by Mercedes-based company, Alfa Romeo, will be one of the first models to arrive in Australia, with its price tag being set at $24,500.
The A4 is also expected to be available, but will be priced at $27,000.
“We have seen a huge number of Australian consumers come to us, particularly younger consumers, who want a new, higher-quality alternative to a car,” Alfa-Romero Australia chief executive, Richard Rennie, said.
“So we have been very keen to provide this for them and we’ve seen a great response from them.”
Mercedes will be offering the trucks for the first time at the Adelaide show on Thursday, which takes place at the city’s Centennial Stadium.
The company has also revealed that it will be launching a service for consumers that will offer them a free Mercedes-produced A4 or A6.
This service will start in late January, and is expected to run until the end of February.
