This is the second time in less than a week that the Ford Classic has not been featured in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, which is the official sanctioning body for the series.
The company announced on Tuesday that the company would not field the Ford Fusion, the first truck to win the NASCAR Truck Series championship.NASCAR is in the process of revamping its roster of brands, and this is the third time the company has not fielded a Ford Classic.
The automaker is planning to bring back the truck to its lineup at the end of this year.
It is unclear whether Ford will return to the truck series as part of the revamp.
Ford also has not entered the series in its two seasons.
That left the truck brand with only one entry in 2016 and only one in 2017.
The truck manufacturer has been in the spotlight recently after the company announced it would not enter the series for the second consecutive year.
The announcement prompted the National Association of Home Builders to issue a statement calling Ford “one of the most irresponsible companies in the country” for failing to enter the sport.
The Ford Fusion is the most recent vehicle to be canceled from the NASCAR race series.
Last year, the company cancelled its 2019 and 2020 truck series entries.
