A Chevy truck struck a tractor-trailer in Georgia on Thursday, killing the driver, police said.
The truck driver was treated and released from a hospital after being struck by the truck, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Public Safety.
No one else was injured in the accident.
The incident occurred about 6 p.m. in the town of Covington, where the truck is a member of the Chevrolet brand, the release said.
Covington police said the truck driver, a 46-year-old man from North Carolina, was driving northbound on Route 29 near Route 66, when he was struck by a Chevrolet truck driven by another man.
The driver was taken to the University of Georgia Medical Center in Athens for treatment, police spokeswoman Kelly Schoenberg said.
She did not give additional details.
